It's Spring!

So the first crocuses are making their way threw the not so frozen soil and I am ready to get started. I am a little amazed, last weekend it was 10 degrees out and we had our first real snow of 9 inches, this week it was 76 degrees and the flowers are coming!
This will be an account of our (K and I) first attempt at a real garden. By real I mean something larger then a 6x6 patch that is full of sunflowers or gourds. Last fall I

put in a fence and covered the grass with a tarp so that this spring I could till it into the soil (no good reason to get rid of all that organic material!). If the weather holds out we'll be off to rent a tiller and truck (to get it and the soil home), then we'll be on our way!
So as I said this will be an account of our follies, flops and fabulous outcomes....
More to come!
